Arabic
Arabic is the mother tongue of about 300 million people and serves a dual communicative and religious purpose.
Arabic language instruction is offered through Tri-College cooperation, with courses being taught at Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Swarthmore, and the University of Pennsylvania.
The teaching of Arabic is one important component of the College’s efforts to increase the presence of the Middle East in their curricula.
