Gender and Sexuality Studies
Gender and Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary Bi-Co program committed to the study of questions raised by the category of gender.
The Gender and Sexuality Studies Program includes courses that investigate matters of gender difference, gender roles, gender socialization and gender bias, considered historically, materially, and cross-culturally, and courses that engage sexual difference, sexual roles, sexual socialization and sexual bias.
The program is interdisciplinary and can be integrated with any major or pursued independently. Students graduate from the program with a high level of fluency and rigor in their understanding of the different ways issues of gender and sexuality shape our lives as individuals and as members of larger communities, both local and global.
