Boomers vs. Millennials
Daniel Torday takes on identity politics, the new generation gap, and more.
Daniel Torday, Associate Professor and Director of Creative Writing, is author of the novel Boomer1, which was released in mid-September.
In a Q&A this fall with Bryn Mawr's Office of Communications shortly before the book came out, Torday discusses the themes of Boomer1 and also talks about his writing process, teaching creative writing and the role of student inspiration in his work.
Among the Bryn Mawr connections to the book: Maggie Siff '96 reads the audiobook version. Siff has starred in Mad Men, Billions, and Sons of Anarchy.
An Oct. 1 launch party and book signing on campus accompanied the book's release.
Reviewers have praised the book for its satirical wit and take on the generational and political landscape.
Torday's previous novel, The Last Flight of Poxl West, was a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice and an International Dublin Literary Award nominee.
