Please join Villanova University in welcoming Diane Nash, leader and strategist of the student wing of the Civil Rights Movement for her keynote address, titled “My Life as a Civil Rights Activist: From Jail in Jackson to the Distinguished American Award”. Nash’s work included the first successful campaign to integrate lunch counters (Nashville), the Freedom Riders who desegregated interstate travel, and the co-founding of the Student Nonviolence Coordinating Committee (SNCC).
