Name: Emma Ecker
Major: Biology
Hometown: Newton, MA
Post-graduation plans: I will be getting my master’s in Genetic Counseling at the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
People you want to thank: I want to thank my family for supporting me so entirely through the last four years. I could not have done this without them. I also want to thank my friends for taking such a weird senior year and making it so amazing (special shout out to Leo and Av, I know you’re going to do great things with your next few years at BMC and I can’t wait to come back for your graduations!!).
Message for the rest of the Class of 2021: This has been an incredibly hard year to be a senior but we’re so close! I know we’re all going to go so far and do so many cool things.
What will you remember most about your time at Bryn Mawr?: I started Bryn Mawr not sure who I would be when I finished. I can’t pinpoint any one moment that made me into who I am now, but all I know is that every cherry blossom photo shoot, every snow day, every Mario party night, every hall hang out, every New Dorm Dining Hall s’more, and every other good and happy memory helped me become someone I’m really proud of. I’m really glad Bryn Mawr gave me the space to grow and provided me with so many lifelong friends.
Key Bryn Mawr Experiences:
- Research in Greg Davis’s Developmental Biology Lab
- Tour Guide
- Pem East 3rd Customs Person (the best hall)
- Biology TA
To the class of 2025: Red class is the best class! I can’t wait to see all the good things you’ll bring to BMC <3
