What's happening at your internship? We would love to hear what kind of work you are doing!
AMADEUS International School Vienna is a unique day and boarding International School with an integrated Music and Arts Academy. Some of the work I'm doing includes coordinating events, generating marketing strategies, and choreographing/performing.
Why did you apply for this internship?
As a double International Studies and Dance major, and German language learner. I applied to Amadeus International School Vienna because it would help me develop and strengthen my skills in both of my majors. Additionally, I was interested in experiencing Austrian culture and learning German in a German-speaking environment.
Was there anything special about how you found this internship?
I discovered this internship via the Career & Civic Engagement Center at Bryn Mawr.
Can you talk about the skills you are learning and why they are important to you?
I have been developing my marketing/advertising skills. Marketing and advertising skills are important for my future career in international relations and dance. It is a necessary tool for building a successful business.
What has been the biggest challenge you have faced at your internship?
It has been a challenge to navigate the Austrian culture in Vienna as it is much different than my culture.
What has been your favorite part of the experience? What has been most rewarding about your internship?
I have really enjoyed being in a performing arts environment with so many talented and creative artists. It has been rewarding to connect with so many people who have a mutual appreciation for the arts.
