This April, staff, students, and faculty gathered 100+ lbs of food and toiletries for the Ada Mutch Community Resource Center and Food Pantry for a spring semester food drive sponsored by the GSSWSR's Social Justice Initiative. Donations tend to slow down a bit after the winter holidays, so food drives during the warmer months are a big help to organizations like ElderNet.
All three of ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth's social workers graduated from Bryn Mawr's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research - Marisa Ferst, MSS/LSP '11 Executive Director, Lisa Schilansky, MSS'12, and Nora Buck '14 social workers. ElderNet was Marisa's field placement as a graduate student. She remained as an employee, and succeeded the 20 year CEO, Ruth Sperber, MSS '94.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this drive a success!
