GSSWSR alum Lisa Capparella, LCSW, OSW-C, MSS '06, is the recipient of the 2023 Oncology Social Worker of the Year Award presented at the Association of Oncology Social Work Annual Conference.
Capparella serves as the Manager of Patient, Family, and Community Programs at Jefferson Health's Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.
The award, which is sponsored by the Cancer Support Community, recognizes Capparella as an exceptional AOSW member who is a model for the profession in the day-to-day delivery of compassionate service.
