Danielle Smiley, Ph.D. Candidate in Mathematics, has accepted a full time instructor position with Villanova's math department. Her new role began at the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester. At Villanova, Danielle teaches three to four classes per semester. These include courses on Differential Equations with Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Foundations of Mathematics.
Additionally, Danielle plans to advance her pedagogical training through engaging with Villanova's Institute of Teaching and Learning (VITAL), in which faculty members attend workshops and discussions focused on teaching methodology and practice. Looking forward, Danielle says, "I am excited to gain more experience in the classroom and to spread the spirit, knowledge and experiences I gained from Bryn Mawr to my new students and colleagues at Villanova." The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences congratulations Danielle on her appointment.
