QUIMS materials

Quantum Materials

We conduct Quantum Materials research, including the fabrication and characterization of ultrahigh-purity crystals, thin films, and nanosized magnetic disks designed to host nanosized skyrmions and apply quantum computing to design these proposed quantum materials. 

QUIMS sensing

Quantum Sensing

Our Quantum Sensing research involves the implementation and application of a state-of-the-art cryogenic scanning nitrogen-vacancy (NV) magnetometer capable of detecting minute magnetic fields with nanometer-scale resolution to image and study nanosized magnetic skyrmions.

QUIMS QISE

QISE Education Research

Through our QISE Education Research, we are translating our findings into evidence-based curricula for high school and college students, establishing a workforce development pipeline for the QISE field, and developing an online learning platform to promote QISE awareness and literacy.
