In the fall of 2020, BIPOC Bryn Mawr students created teach-ins to provide an alternate form of education about race and equity on campus and in our broader society. With support from the College, the program has continued to evolve. Interested students, staff, and faculty are invited to offer a teach-in during the academic year that contributes to building understanding of structural racism and learning about practices that advance equity and inclusion.
Organizers are encouraged to schedule a session on any date or at any time that works for them. Teach-in sessions may take place on Zoom or in-person, and there is no singular format in which they must run. Be it an information session or a dialogue, all teach-in styles are welcome as the College further develops its approach to Advancing Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism.
Bryn Mawr community members who wish to offer a teach-in over the course of the semester can provide information about their session by signing up here.
