We collect and analyze campus data to inform the public and College policymakers.
Data Ethics & Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of approved data
- Use the data received only for the purpose specified in the request
- Submit requests with at least a two-week turnaround
- Respond to data requests in a timely manner, which includes following up with clarifying questions, and notifying the requestor of any challenges with fulfilling request
- Provide accurate data and include necessary notes to enhance the interpretation of the data
- The Offices of Institutional Research and the Registrar staff are both bound by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. Additional information regarding FERPA can be obtained on the Registrar’s website. As such, all requests are reviewed to ensure compliance with both FERPA and Bryn Mawr’s Data Handling Policy.
