The Agnes Michels Lecture: 'Astronomy at play in Lucian's Icaromenippus'
Please join us for the Agnes Michels Lecture: "Astronomy at play in Lucian's Icaromenippus," given by speaker Karen ní Mheallaigh, Johns Hopkins University.
On April 12, graduate students in the Department of Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies will hold the annual Agnes Michel Lecture. Each year graduate students in classics invite a distinguished scholar of Classics to give a lecture and seminar in celebration of the career of Bryn Mawr College professor and alumna Agnes Michels (Ph.D. ‘34). This year’s speaker will be Karen ní Mheallaigh, Johns Hopkins University. This event has been organized by Classics graduate students Izzy Martin, Sophia Tobar, and Aiden Mattingly.
All are invited to the Tea at 3:30 p.m. in the Quita Woodward Room, Old Library. The Agnes Michels Lecture will take place at 4:30 p.m.
