Beyond the Book: Rest is Resistance
Join The Impact Center to discuss Rest is Resistance, a manifesto rooted in spiritual energy and centered in Black liberation, womanism, somatics, and Afrofuturism. In this book, Tricia Hersey, aka The Nap Bishop, encourages us to connect to the liberating power of rest, daydreaming, and naps as a foundation for healing and justice.
Anyone in the BMC community is welcome to join in this conversation, whether or not you are able to read the entire book! RSVP is encouraged - please email Catherine Taipe at ctaipe@brynmawr.edu to do so.
Bryn Mawr College welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
