'Chicago' the Musical at Marshall Auditorium
The Bi-Co's new musical theater club, Electric Hour Theater, is proud to present their first-ever production: Chicago. Performances are Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are free!
Chicago is not just a musical, but a spectacle that dances its way through murder, vaudeville, and "all that jazz." It follows Roxie Hart on her dream for the limelight, as she proves that she, along with her rival Velma Kelly, would kill to get publicity. Billy Flynn, their shady lawyer, knows how to manipulate the press in their favor, but they are cynical, sexy, and utterly competitive. Through an infamous score and brilliant dance numbers that are to die for, this journey through 1920's Chicago shows a whole lot of killers, cheaters, and criminals with a whole lot more sparkle. CHICAGO is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals. This production is made possible thanks to the generosity of the E. Clyde Lutton 1966 Memorial Fund. CHICAGO Book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse Music by John Kander Lyrics by Fred Ebb Based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins Script Adaptation by David Thompson
