With only a 30-percent chance of finding a suitable donor within your family, many end up looking for help from a marrow registry to find a match among a list of strangers. Many BIPOC individuals and communities are disproportionally disadvantaged in finding donor matches. The main reason for this disparity is the lack of adequately diverse representation in the registry. Joining this registry is extremely important for BIPOC individuals to get the best kind of medical treatment.
