Interested in engaging with Philadelphia this spring? Come learn about the Spring 2022 Tri-Co Philly Program at an online student information session.

Students are invited to apply for the Spring 2022 Tri-Co Philly Program, an initiative to connect students to the city. This semester-long program offers students a host of curricular and co-curricular activities in Philadelphia. Students enroll in two urban-focused courses taught in Philadelphia and also participate in monthly Philadelphia-based activities. Sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to apply.

Spring 2022 Courses

Core (everyone enrolls):

  • POLS H229 Power and Politics in Philadelphia

Electives (students choose one of two):

  • CITY B207 History of Philadelphia Architecture and Urbanism OR
  • POLS 031 Borders and Migration

Applying to the Tri-Co Philly Program

1. Interested students should attend a Philly Program Student Information Session. The final sessions are at Swarthmore (in-person) and a virtual session via Zoom. Contact Calista Cleary, ccleary@haverford.edu, for the Zoom link and ID.

2. Following attendance at a Tri-Co Philly Program Student Information Session, students can apply for the Tri-Co Philly Program. Students unable to attend an information session must meet with the Tri-Co Philly Program director, Calista Cleary (ccleary@haverford.edu or 610-795-1576), prior to applying.

3. The Tri-Co Philly Program application is due Friday, Oct. 22, by 11:59 p.m. Note: this is before the start of all Tri-Co pre-registrations periods.
