This summer, the Sijal Institute is offering 5-week and 10-week intensive online Arabic programs from beginner to advanced levels. Students also have the option to participate in remote internships hosted by organizations based in Jordan.
In addition to the core Arabic classes, beginner-level students enroll in an introductory course on Jordanian culture, where students are taught the fundamentals of Colloquial Jordanian Arabic. Students at the Intermediate and Advanced levels choose the content course that best suits their interests and linguistic needs. Content courses this summer include: Cooking around the Arab World, the History of Arabic Music, the Archaeology of Jordan and the Middle East, and an Introduction to Arabic Calligraphy, taught by Sijal faculty.
Bryn Mawr College welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
