Tri-Co Haverhack! Hosted by Havercode
It's Time to Hack the Tri-Co! We're back in-person this year, Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5, in Haverford's Lutnick Library Commons.
Students of all abilities and interests are invited to participate in the 2022 Tri-Co Hackathon! Meet other students in the Tri-Co, form teams, learn new skills, and get your project started.
This event is for all students – from coding neophytes to seasoned Computer Science majors. Haven't participated in a hackathon? This is a great way to test the waters and develop your skills. Plus you'll have the opportunity to meet other students in the Tri-Co, form teams and get down to building something amazing in less than 48 hours. If you're interested in building web or mobile applications, designing interfaces, collecting data, creating multimedia art, or coordinating group work we encourage you to join us.
Join the Group Me for community and updates.
The Event
The Tri-Co Hackathon aims to bring teams of students from Haverford, Swarthmore, and Bryn Mawr colleges together in collaborative learning through engagement with digital technology and programming.
About
After workshops and dinner on Friday, Nov. 4, students will meet and discuss interests and project ideas around proposed themes to form teams of 2-5 people. Teams work together on a prototype until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, when they will present their work to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes.
Experience
No experience necessary! There will be a selection of skill-building workshops on Friday afternoon to help beginners learn concepts and tools to help get their projects up and running, as well as more advanced topics for those with experience interested in learning something new.
