Management Intensive

Do you want to understand the complex information and skills that successful managers in any sector need to master to promote positive outcomes for their organizations, teams, and communities?

Do you want to understand how to motivate people to achieve their goals, communicate better, and complete necessary tasks?
Are you interested in developing your own leadership skills, self-awareness, and self-confidence in organizational and professional settings (including your work on campus)?

The Bryn Mawr College Management Intensive is a comprehensive, five-day course designed to immerse students in the basics of management, strategic analysis, interviewing and self-presentation in professional contexts.  Students will be exposed to inspiring alumnae, supportive peers, and diverse, attainable careers in management positions across sectors (for-profit, non-profit, government, etc.) and in management consulting.

The curriculum includes:

  • Management fundamentals, SWOT analysis, strategic planning, interpersonal assessment, self-awareness exercises
  • Facilitation and analysis of case studies led by Wharton School faculty
  • Skill-building in communication, coaching, giving feedback, networking, public speaking and interviewing
  • Compelling stories and interviews from alumnae of various ages and work experiences about how they leveraged their Bryn Mawr educations to excel in the professional world and in their lives more broadly

You will leave this course with skills to help you as a manager and leader in any group context, with greater confidence in your ability to tackle complex organizational challenges, with more finely tuned public speaking, networking and interviewing skills, and with a stronger sense of connection to various communities within Bryn Mawr and beyond.

Join us for the Management Intensive, and feel more inspired to carve out a successful path in any organization.
