Biography

June’s overarching research goal is to expand understanding on determinants of health disparity and social inequality faced by vulnerable groups to improve health at the individual, community, and societal levels. Under this overarching research theme, June has two strands of research agenda: 1) evaluation of government programs and policies to understand their impact on the vulnerable, and 2) examination of the broad determinants of population health.

Her current research topics include the economic costs of extreme temperatures, the effects of paid family leave, and spillover/peer effects in health.

She joined the Bryn Mawr faculty in 2021, and previously taught at Swarthmore College, Elon University, and Purdue University.
