The Bryn Mawr College Chemistry Department is deeply committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community. We welcome and value the unique background and perspective that every member of our community brings.

We endeavor to support each individual and to provide a curriculum with the necessary intellectual depth and breadth to allow students to thrive now and in their future endeavors. We do so by assuming every student in our program has the potential to succeed; by being attentive to the individual needs of our students; by recognizing the identity of each student and its role in their learning; by working together to assess and improve our pedagogy; by encouraging student collaboration and community-building; and by providing opportunities for students to work closely with faculty mentors.
