Groundwork Cabaret and Exhibition
In-person presentation of students' work created in or inspired by "Groundwork" workshops includes short film screenings, live performances, and visual arts and design gallery exhibition.
The Bi-Co Theater Program offered Groundwork—a series of theater and performance workshops curated by Assistant Professor in Theater Catharine Slusar—as an alternative to the traditional Spring 2021 Performance Ensemble courses. Students enrolled in the Performance Ensemble courses participated in the full suite of workshops, while interested students from all disciplines and majors had the option to enroll in individual workshops. Students worked in smaller socially distanced in-person classes to generate a variety of interdisciplinary works, including live performance, design, masks, scripts, and short videos. A collection of these works will be presented in a cabaret and a gallery exhibition available to the Bi-Co campus community.
