- Housing and Meals: University dormitories, apartment complexes, or residential colleges. Students prepare their own meals in dormitories and apartments. Residential colleges include meal plans.
- Registering for Courses: The credit value of each course is 12.5 points. Students will enroll in four courses, or 50 points. Students may not opt for any other form of registration without prior approval from the Bryn Mawr College Study Abroad Office and the Registrar.
- Eligibility: By Nomination. GPA 3.0. Some faculties have additional entry requirements.
- Nomination Procedure: Students are required to submit an application to the University of Melbourne online, and will receive a six digit number by email when they complete the registration part of the application. Students should forward the six digit number to the Dean’s Office to be nominated to Melbourne. Nominations will not be processed for students who do not submit the six digit number. Dates: Fall Semester (Australian Semester II): July to November; Spring Semester (Australian Semester I): February to June.

New Zealand

- Housing and Meals: Students live in three- to six-bedroom university houses or apartments all within 15 minutes’ walk of campus, housing is managed by University Flats. Students have their own bedroom and share other facilities in the house with flatmates from New Zealand and other countries. Students prepare their own meals.
- Registering for Courses: Credit value of each course is 18 points. Students register for four courses, or 72 points. Students may not opt for any other form of registration without prior approval from the Bryn Mawr College Study Abroad Office and the Registrar.
- Eligibility: GPA 3.0
- Dates: Fall Semester (semester II in New Zealand): Early July to mid-November; Spring Semester (semester I in New Zealand): mid-February to late June.

Applying to study abroad is a two-step process during your sophomore year. First, you must apply for BMC approval to study abroad by the required deadline. Next, when you have received approval through BMC, you must apply for admission to the program of your choice.
