LITS Leadership
A welcome from the CIO
Welcome to Bryn Mawr College Library & Information Technology Services (LITS).
At Bryn Mawr, the library and technology organizations are intentionally joined, reflecting our belief that knowledge, discovery, teaching, research, and student support flourish when information and technology are integrated and accessible. Our work spans classroom learning and digital scholarship, library collections and archives, research computing, enterprise systems, data strategy, cybersecurity, instructional innovation, and broad community engagement. Together, we focus on creating an environment where students, faculty, and staff can learn, explore, and do their best work.
Across higher education, we are living through a moment of rapid technological change, from new digital pedagogies to the transformative possibilities and challenges of artificial intelligence. These evolutions are reshaping how we create knowledge, how we evaluate information, and how we support scholarly inquiry. In LITS, we approach these shifts with both curiosity and care. We remain grounded in the values of academic rigor, open inquiry, ethical engagement, and equitable access—while embracing thoughtful innovation that strengthens the Bryn Mawr experience.
Our priorities include stewarding and expanding access to our remarkable collections; supporting teaching, learning, and research with forward-looking technologies; building resilient and secure digital infrastructure; advancing data-informed decision-making; and ensuring that all members of our community feel supported, seen, and empowered. We continue to place strong emphasis on accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion—recognizing that libraries and technology services play a vital role in shaping a welcoming, intellectually vibrant campus.
I am grateful for the expertise and dedication of the LITS staff and for the collaboration we share with colleagues across Bryn Mawr and the Bi-Co. Whether you are a student exploring an idea, a researcher seeking resources, a faculty member innovating in the classroom, or a staff member working to support the College’s mission, we are here to help.
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to partnering with you in the work ahead.
Warm regards,
